Levels of Involvement

You can be involved with YoUFA in many ways, not just the ones listed below:

The YoUFA network is the wider ‘net’ belonging to the UFA and a part of YoUFA. You have direct contact and say in what you want and believe and will be a part of the social network of YoUFA and you could also be involved in the development of the website.	This means you attend UFA activities and workshops. This could be through your school or local club and will always be fun. Some of the larger activities that you can do will give you a great chance to meet new people, or even get closer to the people you already know.	This is where you can ask the UFA for some guidance in running your own activity, you may need to do this with an adult, but it will be all your own idea. Most young people participate first and feel the essence of UFA or become a Peer Tutor first, this is a great way to see how UFA works. (the essence is really important to us, that’s what makes UFA what it is.)	Being a YoUFA Rep gives you a chance to be a role model for young people in the entire YoUFA network. You will be involved in many projects including residential and regional meetings. You take part in the planning,delivery and evaluation of events such as the YoUFIESTA and you are the key communicators between the Board and the Network. This role has to be assigned and has an application procedure linked to it.	This is at the top of the involvement ladder and where a young person reaches the most involved stage of UFA. Being part of the Board means you are the voice for the whole YoUFA Network. You would support, challenge and work together with the main UFA Board of Trustees. Being part of the board would also mean you are responsible for tightening communication between the young people from across the network.
