Useful pointers
Useful pointers when running your own or participating in an UFA event are:
- Getting plenty of sleep allows your brainwaves to buzz, and gives your brain time to sort information coming in during the day
- Drinking plenty of water could help in speeding up your thinking. Dehydration leads to headaches and tiredness
- Eating a balanced diet with plenty of ‘Brain Food’ (fish, green vegetables, bananas, and nuts). Avoid saturated fat, refined carbohydrates, sugary food, and ‘E’ numbers
- Trying brain exercises will help to get your brain energised and ready to learn
- Exercising uses 20% of the oxygen you breathe in. Regular exercise will keep you alert and improves your mood
Each of these will help you to look after your brain, and prepare you well for UFA activities. Give them a try and see if you notice the difference, be sure to let us know how they go by Blogging something!
